What Now?

Ask Miss Lisa (Love, Inspiration, Straight-talk, Activation)

If TODAY is THE day…

I have been out of the hospital for over two months now. The stem cell transplant was successful and my immune system is coming back. I have any appointment with the transplant team this week to see if I will require a second transplant. I am so grateful to God that I wake up every day, but not having any idea what the day will bring requires all the FAITH I have. I am an admitted recovering control freak and it is difficult not knowing what each day will bring. Before my cancer I thought I knew what every day would bring and I took it all for granted. Now, I can’t work and I don’t know if my cancer is in remission yet and I can’t have visitors nor can I eat out at restaurants. Living every day not knowing anything for certain is a struggle, but what it has done is make me TRUST the Lord more and more! To be honest, I have difficult days. I have days where I am so depressed that I don’t even get out of bed. Days where my back hurts so much I can barely move. And then, I will receive a text message or phone call from someone reminding me that the joy of the Lord is my STRENGTH! When we are honest with ourselves, none of us can really control much in life. We convince ourselves that we are in control, but when we do that we may rely on the Lord less because we lean more on our own understanding. I just want to remind you that life can change in an instant…mine did!! And when changes come, please make sure you are standing on a strong foundation with the Lord because all other ground is sinking sand! It is our responsibility to encourage one another and I pray that even on my worst days, I will have the strength to encourage others to keep up the good fight. We are never alone.

What now? Pray and wait on the Lord!

We pray that this has blessed you in some way and hope that you share our stories with others who might be helped by our ability to tell our truth in love! We also encourage you to submit stories...you never know who will be helped!

Matthew 5:14-16

Peace be with YOU!

Lisa

Lisa, you continue to bless me with each writing an reach story that is shared. Reading emails can sometimes be a chore with all the junk that makes it way in between what is important. But I keep yours until I am able to spend quality time to read! And every time, I am truly blessed. I will submit a story one day when my life slows down a bit. Just know I am appreciative of your transparency and truth! Thank you! Angie😀

Hey Lisa, still praying for you, for your strength and that each new day, you get healthier, even if you don’t feel it! God definitely has a plan for your life and He will not bring you to anything that He won’t bring you through! I am now towards the six-week mark of my own cancer surgery and thanking God for each new day!! ❤️❤️
