Grateful in Everything

Ask Miss Lisa (Love, Inspiration, Straight-talk, Activation)

If TODAY is THE day…

Happy New Year!

2021 had challenging times. I was diagnosed with cancer and my life was forever changed. I will always be honest with you and tell you that I had some very difficult days. Acknowledging the fact that I have to depend on others for my care has been a difficult pill to swallow. Especially for this “recovering control freak”! I have multiple myeloma which has caused significant bone damage to 75% of the bones in my body. My spine has collapsed, and my doctor said my bones are like wet drywall. Dealing with all this challenges me daily to be GRATEFUL. It was always easy for me to be grateful when things were going well, but this experience is forcing me to be grateful at a higher level! In the past, I will admit...I took some things for granted. NOT ANYMORE! People write to me often and say, “you are so strong”. I never thought about being strong before, but the Bible tells us that we will face difficulties and it is our blessing to be able to lean on the Lord when these difficult days find us. Otherwise, we might believe that we can handle everything ourselves. 2021 brought challenges, but it also brought so many BLESSINGS for me! Now, I make TIME to really meditate on the Word, and I am reminded daily of all I have to be grateful for in my life. Grateful that the Lord had mercy on me and is allowing me to LIVE with my cancer! Grateful that I have family and friends who stand in the gaps and help me with WHATEVER I need. Grateful that even if I cannot work in the way I used to work, the Lord has given me the opportunity to finally have the time to volunteer and be of service by working with nonprofit organizations like NCMinistries, Inc. (www.ncmninacrumpministries.org) to help other women through inspiration and empowerment. I always dreamed of retiring early so that I could devote more of my time to service and LOOK AT GOD!! When you ask the Lord to use you…you don’t get to decide how! If my testimony can inspire or help others…I am grateful!

When you approach life being GRATEFUL IN EVERYTHING you can’t keep from giving GOD all the glory!

Praying for a healthy and prosperous 2022 for us all!

We pray that this has blessed you in some way and hope that you share are our stories with others who might be helped by our ability to tell our truth in love! We also encourage you to submit stories...you never know who will be helped!

Matthew 5:14-16

Peace be with YOU!

Lisa
